Dr. Amanda A. (Haas) Busho, Pharm D, is a 2008 Doctor of Pharmacy graduate of the University of Minnesota. She attended the Duluth campus while completing the pharmacy program, following three years of undergraduate education at Winona State University where her focus was on Pre-Pharmacy, a Chemistry Major and Spanish Minor. She also completed a summer course on Spanish Language and Literature at the University of Sevilla, Spain in 2006. From 2008 to 2011, Amanda practiced community pharmacy in North Carolina as a staff pharmacist with Walgreen Co. and then transferred back to her home state of Minnesota serving many different areas in and around the metro area until her employment as a Community Pharmacist at FirstLight in May of 2014.
Amanda enjoys collaborating with patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective and affordable care. In addition to dispensing medications, Amanda is trained in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and Immunization Services. Preventative care is a strong interest of Amanda’s, including incorporating nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits into everyday life.
Amanda is a member of the American Pharmacists’ Association (APhA) and the Minnesota Pharmacists’ Association (MPhA). Outside of work she loves spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling and enjoying the great outdoors.
